Sean and I went on our first long trip away from the kids. It was hard to leave them, but we had a memorable experience in Cancun. Sean's parents, brother and sister and their spouses invited us to join them. It was so much fun! Wish we were still there. The water was beautiful and the resort was so relaxing. We had some adventurous days and some great memorable moments with them... On the first day we went to Tulum (ancient Mayan ruins).

We ate at a very authentic Mexican restaurant right at the base of the ruins.
My first time drinking from a freshly cut coconut! Not as sweet as I thought, but it was neat to try.
These guys were performing on the hour... Pretty neat to watch.

The walls of the city were really thick.
This temple was in the center of the city.
Can you find the face?

On Day 2 we enjoyed a beach day. Sean went golfing with his dad and brother-in-law Josh in the morning. We also went sailing in the afternoon. We had a great time doing that!

We went out to dinner that night... Such a funny picture with the wind in my face. I couldn't get it to work right.

"All the pretty girls!"
On Day 3 we went on a boat ride to a small island. We stopped halfway for some great snorkeling. We saw lots of colorful fish, statues, and a sea turtle. Then we ate lunch and shopped on the island. We had a great time.

At the end of the boat trip, Sean decided to do some "Mexican parasailing" where you hang on for dear life and let the wind throw you around hanging on a rope with a leftover sail connected to the boat. haha. Good thing he landed without getting hurt!
On Day 4 we went to a place called "Explore." So fun! We had a great time. We couldn't take cameras on the zip line or in the caves, but we took pictures of pictures so they are kind of blurry. You can see some of the zip lines and the boat rides and swimming activities a little though. It was a blast...

On Day 5 we had to leave, but we spent some time that morning taking it all in...

Thanks guys! Mark and Nancy, you are the best! We had such a great time! It was hard to leave! We love you!

Easter Weekend
My sister Rebecca and her sweet family came for Easter. We went to the park and did the egg hunt there with our friends Brian and Lindsey too. We climbed Pinnacle Mountain Friday with them and spent Saturday painting eggs and having the hunt. It was fun to have some time with them and show them our home here.

Daffodil Fields
We drove to a daffodil farm about 40 minutes from our house to see all the flowers in bloom. There are thousands of them. We got some great pictures and the kids had a lot of fun running around. We went with our friends Brian and Lindsay and their two girls Lena and Becca.

Easter Crafts
The kids and I painted a birdhouse for our backyard. Brayden said he wanted to make one so Daddy made it with him and let him drill the would together. Then they painted in white, blue, and brown. Mommy topped it off with some little flowers... I love Spring!
We also made an egg tree. We got the branch out of the backyard and then we blew the yoke out of some eggs. The kids painted all but one of these. They did a great job!

Camping in Branson
We went camping in Branson with our friends and their two girls during Spring break. The weather was pleasant and the campgrounds were really beautiful too. We camped next to TableRock Lake. The kids played by the water and we took bikes and stuff like that. There are some great paved trails and shopping centers close in downtown Branson. We enjoyed some yummy dutch oven cooking, visited the Fish Hatchery close by, and went to downtown Branson for one afternoon. We were there for two nights and just about three days. The kids had a great time and we did too. We enjoy spending time with our friends Brian and Lindsey. They are really great fun to be around!

Brian and Lindsey making a yummy breakfast.

Cute little Lena. Nathan and Lena are just about the same age. A couple weeks apart.

Becca. She is a year younger than Brayden. She is 3 going on 10!
