St. Louis

We decided to spend the weekend as a family and get away for a night. We went to St. Louis and stayed in a hotel Friday night. The kids had a lot of fun swimming. It feels like it's been so long since we have swam. We took turns the next day going to the temple. Sean went in the morning and then I went in the afternoon. It was fun to take the kids to the temple with us and talk about it. Usually we just leave them with family. They had some great questions about it, played in the leaves and walked around the grounds. Then Daddy took them to the mall until I was done. I wanted to take some family photos, plus you get to see me at 30 weeks! Yes, my tummy is getting heavy!

After the temple we went to a really neat pumpkin patch. There were so many pumpkins and so many people there! It was so fun! Here are the really big ones!

haha... Brayden is trying to pick one up.

This mound of pumpkins weighed 26 tons! Pretty crazy! They certainly looked a lot bigger there than this picture!

They went on a train ride around the pumpkin patch...

Katelyn wasn't afraid of Red Robin, but Brayden wasn't interested.

You gotta love this picture!

Multiple Talents

I came downstairs the other morning and had to take a double look at what Brayden was doing. I said, "Brayden what are you doing?" He said very calmly, "I'm coloring mom" haha. I thought this was so funny! He cracks me up! He was very serious about coloring with his feet that he insisted on doing it this way. He actually did pretty good!

"October Fest"

So my parents had their big annual October Fest at their place this weekend too. There was probably about 150 people there. Katelyn and I went, but Sean and Brayden stayed home. Sean hurt his back and Brayden still had a fever. It wasn't the same without them there, but here are a few pictures I got from it:

"Apples on a string" Technically, she is not allowed to touch the apple, but oh well, she was trying to be intuitive...

"Tug of war" Girls against boys, the boys won this one, but you can see the girls had a disadvantage up hill.

Uncle Josh helped Katelyn walk on the stilts...

This was a view from the hay ride.

Time to hit the pinata. haha, Katelyn is so bundled up you can't tell it is her.

"Raggedy Ann and Andy"

So we had a "trunk or treat" ward party this passed week. The kids have had the flu this week so they were still kind of feeling grumpy and tired a little. They weren't quite themselves in these pictures, but that is ok. They are doing better now. Brayden was pretty tired, but Katelyn had fun modeling for us. I made Brayden's costume and the wigs. The dress that Katelyn is wearing is actually one that I had when I was her age.

Too Cute!

I guess fall is officially here now. It is getting colder and the trees are changing. We just though these pictures were so cute. We took these at the movie theatre yesterday. One thing that is nice about Ozark, it is close to Springfield which means closer to shopping and other fun things to do!

Move to Ozark

So we have moved to Ozark Missouri. It is about an hour from Ava. So far we really like it. Thanks to everyone's help we have been able to make the transition pretty quickly. Today was our first time attending our new ward and the kids really did well. There are definitely a lot of kids in the ward so that will be fun! We are still not hooked up to the internet yet, but we are tapping in to the church wireless internet so we could post some pictures. Grandma Nancy has been asking for some pictures of our Duplex, so here they are:

First half of the living room...

Second half of the living room

Katelyn and Brayden are sharing a room now. They are doing really well actually! They really like it. This is Katelyn's side.

Brayden's side of the room...

Toy Room! That is a necessity!

Their bathroom...

Kitchen and dining Room... We just need some window treatments and some more things to make it more like "home."

Brayden's 3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday Brayden!

So we asked Brayden what kind of a birthday he wanted and he asked us for a "Peter Pan" and "Captain Hook" party. I talked it over with my older sister and asked her what she thought might be fun to do. She and her girls came up with a "Treasure Hunt" play. Thanks to the fathers of all the boys in the family, we were able to make quite a production. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun!
