Dress up!

Katelyn is always dressing up so I thought I'd make a slide show of some of her favorites even if they are not stylish. We look at some of these and just crack up, but that is what is so fun about being little!

Katelyn is Five!

Wow! I can't believe Katelyn is already 5! She is the sunshine in our home. She is so helpful with Nathan and plays really well with Brayden. She loves to dance and dress up. She changes her clothes several times a day and fixes her hair all by herself. She loves to color, write her letters, and is learning to read easy books. She is such a cute girl! We love having her in our home part of our family! We decided to have a "Dress-up" party. Her little friends who came got dressed up first, then I did their hair, my three nieces helped do their nails and we indulged in fruit dipped in a chocolate fountain. They had a great time...

Mmm... Yummy! If you watch closely, Katelyn changes her outfit three times during the course of the party...

Madison helping with their nails

Good choice Katelyn, Very cute!

Mommy did their hair with flower bows that my friend made for each girl to take home... If you would like to purchase your own, check out her website: http://www.etsy.com/shop/shmanessa8

They played some fun games, "Cake walk," "Dancing statues," and here they are playing "Telephone"

Cute picture!

Time to blow out the candles.

Opening gifts, she got some really cute things!

Her family birthday was on Sunday. She woke up and wanted to open her presents right away so we did before going to church. Some of her favorites were her first music box and a fairy glitter globe.

We had a family party at my parents Sunday night... Katelyn and Abby put dress up skirts on pretending that they were "dresses." They do that every time we go and visit. Katelyn, Sean, Nanny, and Hannah all share the same birthday month!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sean decided to come home late Saturday night and spend Sunday with us! We had a great time together. I'm so glad that he was able to come and visit even though it was short. We had a great day together!

Talk about color coordinating for a Valentines day on Sunday! haha Happy Valentines day to everyone. Hope yours was as special as ours!

I just love this little guy! He is so cute and fun to have in our home!

Grandma Nancy...

While Sean was training, his mother stayed with us and helped us for a while. We had a great time together... During the first couple of days it snowed pretty hard. We decided to spend some time playing in it.

Grandma took the kids for a ride down the hill. Brayden was a little scared, but Katelyn loved it!

Then we decided to go and visit Daddy for the weekend. It was a six hour drive, but it was worth it to see him and the kids had fun swimming and playing at the hotel. Thanks to Grandma's help we were able to make this visit!
The kids loved riding on the baggage carrier... Probably not a good thing to encourage them to do. Oh well.

On our way home we decided to stop in St. Louis and visit the arch. We looked through the museum and went up inside. It was really neat...

This was the view from the top...

Grandma took them to the mall one day.

Mommy did pedicures for the "girls" while Brayden was sleeping...

We had lots of fun. We will miss not having Grandma here with us.

A New Chapter in our lives...

So... Sean is going to open a Jimmy Johns restaurant in Little Rock Arkansas. He found an investor who would like to open several stores actually. Sean has enjoyed starting to interview for management, select crews for construction, and dream about running his own store. The signs came in the mail recently and here he is checking it out. We will be moving to Arkansas soon and with a new little baby, our lives have change pretty drastically recently. I am excited and a little nervous for this new chapter in our lives, but I think it will be a good thing for us!

Baby blessing

Sean's parents came and spent some time before the blessing. Tyler also came! The kids had a great time playing and spending time with them. It's always a joy to have them in our home...

The blessing day...

Brayden wanted to help mommy get the baby dressed while these cute pictures were taken with Katelyn.

These were taken at my parents home after the blessing. Yes, he is a boy with a bonnet... haha. That drives Sean crazy, but it is an heirloom blessing outfit so you got to wear the whole thing right?

Wow! A family of five already!

Pictures of family and friends at the luncheon... This one is my favorite!
