Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! It was strange for me not to be able to really eat much because my stomach has no room. The kids and I made Grandma Nancy's overnight salad and Grandpa Glenn's sweet potato casserole. Brayden also helped me make a Sweet Potatoe Pie that was amazing! My parents didn't have as many people as they normally do, but here we are eating dinner... Mandy's sister was visiting and she looks so much like Mandy! She is in on the left.

Sean played football with the stake that morning and then we watched the parade...
After dinner, my brother left to visit his in-laws and so Katelyn and Brayden were the only kids. That was ok though. They made some Indian Hats and colored some Thanksgiving pages. We talked about the 1st Thanksgiving and then Brayden broke out the Play Dough. He played for almost an hour and a half making all kinds of "goodies" for everyone.

Katelyn decided she wanted to hang out with the "old" people so she hopped on Grandma's lap to play dominoes.

I on the other hand spent the afternoon making flannel pajamas for my nephews that we drew names for Christmas. Then we helped my mom get their Christmas decorations out. Katelyn was so excited she couldn't contain it. Her favorite thing is to set up the Nativity Sets. She loves to cuddle the Baby Jesus. There has been so much talk about it lately that Brayden says the puppy he sleeps with is named Jesus. haha... I love kids! They are just so much fun!

Broadway Peter Pan

Branson's Broadway Play of Peter Pan had appreciation week for a couple of counties including ours. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity being that it was a third of the price it normally is. Kathy Rigby played the part of Peter Pan and she did an amazing job! When it came time for intermission, the kids thought it was over and were very sad. Brayden said, "Why are we going on a mission?" I thought that was cute. We explained it to him and he was so excited to know that it was not over yet. They were glued the whole time!

This first picture is kind of dark, but they got a picture taken with a "Pirate" on Captain Hook's Ship before the show started.

Looking at everything waiting to get in our seat...

Pictures with Peter Pan... Brayden could not get over the fact that it was played by a woman. He was so confused and troubled about that when he met her and found out! It was pretty funny!

Here she is giving them some "pixie dust"

They laughed at Shmee a lot...

Dance

Katelyn is really enjoying Ballet and Jazz. She keeps asking me if she can do tap too. I couldn't resist taking this picture of her with some of the girls in her class. It was kind of funny that they all just happened to be wearing pink that day. Katelyn's teacher was also sick so one of her assistants was helping that day too. They are getting ready for their Christmas program. It will be fun to see how she does with that!

Katelyn's Friend's Birthday

Katelyn has made a little friend and her name is Lilyan. She just had her 5th Birthday party and invited Katelyn to come with the rest of her friends. It was a "Puppy" party. Her mother did such a great job with it. It was so cute! She thought of everything it seemed... "Doggy ears, dog tags with their names, dog coloring pages, decorating their own little dog house that came with a Beanie Baby dog and a blanket, Digging for Dog bones, Dog relay races like jumping through the hoop and down the slide..." She really thought of everything! It was so cute. When I picked Katelyn up she had a bag full of doggy bones in it. Lilyan's mother said that Katelyn asked her if she could have all of the dog bones from their game. Well, needless to say, we have been giving away dog bones to all the little puppies that Katelyn knows. It has been pretty funny. Here is a picture of the entrance to their party. Obviously, it was "just for kids!" It was such a small opening!

You have to love those dog ears!

A family of Vampires!

So Grandma Nancy sent some funny Vampire teeth... These pictures crack me up! I guess we are just trying to get in the mood for New Moon coming out this weekend! haha

Halloween Dance week

This was Katelyn's second dance class and they got to "dress up" for it since it was Halloween week. There weren't very many girls because of all the sicknesses going around. Katelyn really likes it though. You can tell by these pictures, she is very serious about listening and learning ballet. I'm so glad she enjoys it so much. I will have to video tape her sometime!

Halloween party at the Library...

So I'm pretty behind writing about Halloween, but we had a fun little party at the library. We had story time, games, trick or treating, and snacks. It was fun!

We made "mummy dogs for our treat...

Katelyn likes to make this face and cross her eyes a lot!

Too Cute! Brayden was quite the "candy eater" this year! (Notice the sucker in his hands)
