Halloween

It was Katelyn's idea to dress up as a family like the "Brave" characters... I made our costumes and had a great time putting things together with a little budget. Sean is the hardest one to recognize. So funny!

Of Course Merida...

A Viking "Suitor"

The Father "Vercus"

One of the little Brother's who turns into a bear...

The Mother and Queen...

Us at our ward party...

Yes Sean is wearing a kilt... haha

Grandma Nancy sent this kit to make these. So cute!

Katelyn and I made this wreath from the weeds in a vacant lot by our house.  Such pretty colors!

School Projects

Katelyn has done really great in school. She was on the honor roll and got perfect attendance for her first 9 weeks. Brayden does not have an official grade, but his report card was excellent as well and he such a good little student in his class. Here is a picture of a project Katelyn recently had to do for Social Studies... All the 2nd graders built "box cities." She was asked to build the "North Little Rock High School."

October Fest

We went to my parents for our annual "October Fest" with hayrides, pinatas, chili, and a bonfire. We were in charge of the sac races this year. Tons of fun! It was beautiful with all of the fall colors. My sister Jody and her husband Adam and son Logan came from Arizona to be there. We had a great time! Here we are on the Hayride... Nathan is quite the "Lady's man."

Pumpkin Patches

We went to a couple of Pumpkin Patches this year.  I went with Brayden on a trip with his Kindergarten class at school.  We had a great time.  It was fun to spend time with him one-on-one.  He is so fun.  We went on a hayride and picked out a pumpkin to take home.  We also had a picnic lunch.

Sean and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch as a family.  We had a great time together.  I love my family!  I am so blessed to have such good memories with them.  We went on a hayride, watch the pig races, played on their fun playground, and fed a bunch of animals there.  It was so fun!

Cakes and more Cakes

So I have been asked to do wedding cakes lately. I have to say it is stressful, but I keep learning something new every time I do one. Here are a couple I did recently... This one was for an acquaintance that had a small picnic wedding:

This one is a Groom's cake that I did for a friend of mine whose son just got married. They are big Razorback fans and so they asked for a football cake. Sean helped me make the Razorback pigs out of white chocolate and a pig mold. If you look closely, one of the pigs has a veil, obviously the bride!
This is their wedding cake:

Silly Kids

Brayden lost his first tooth shortly after turning 6.  He was so excited about the tooth fairy coming!  I picked him up from school on his Birthday and he said, "Mom, I am really happy today because I am having a party for my birthday, no homework, and I have a lose tooth!"  So funny!

So Nathan plays a lot with his little friend Lena who likes to dress up as Princesses.  He in turn enjoys dressing up in Princess costumes so Daddy decided one day to dress him in something more boyish.  So funny!

The kids and I stopped to get a pumpkin.  Nathan really wanted this one!

Grandma sent her annual Halloween package.  So fun!
