Katelyn's 6th Birthday

For those of you who have seen the movie Tangled, you will recognize some of the things we decided to do for Katelyn's party. Since Repunzel was stuck in a tower, she painted, baked, read books, and fixed her hair so we thought it would be fun to do those things too. The girls got to paint, decorate cupcakes, and I fixed their hair with flowers. We had the book Tangled on CD so Katelyn turned the pages for them while they listened to the story. We also let them dance around and eat some of the food like at the palace market. It turned out really cute. The girls had a good time!

Here they are painting...

Decorating cupcakes...

We made these cute jello cups or "boats" like the boat ride she has with Flynn.

Too Cute!

Happy Birthday Katelyn!

I'd have to say this is probably one of my most favorite cakes I have made for my kids' birthdays. The tower is made out of fondent and ice cream cones. Then I painted on the food coloring and icing. The waterfall in the back is a special icing gel. It was a lot of fun. She loved it!

She got lots of fun gifts too. A microphone, aqua sand, bracelets, a mini scrapbooking kit, and more. Thanks everyone!
