We went as a family to the St. Louis Temple this past Saturday. We spent about five hours there doing baptisms and sealings for our family names. It was really special. Madison went for her first time with us. It was really neat!

I forgot to post how Brayden's room turned out. He really likes it.
The quilt took me the longest because of all the details. Each block was sewn individually and then all pieced together.

I found these little wooden airplanes and cars and painted them to match
These were made from the same fabric as the quilt.

Daddy's Little Helpers
Daddy had a meeting with one of the stores a couple Saturdays ago. The kids got up early to help make breakfast for all the employees. They had a lot of fun helping and they got to wear their aprons!

Mr. Brayden
So little Brayden likes to try and be like his sister. When you ask him how old he is, he says "3" (even though he is two) and when you ask him how to spell his name, he says, "K A T ..." He just loves to play with her and when she is at school, he often says to me, "Mommy, lets go get Katelyn from school now." A couple Sunday afternoons ago, we decided to hang out in Katelyn's room and just visit for a while. Mommy fell asleep on Katelyn's bed and Daddy fell asleep on the floor reading a book to Brayden. When both parents fall asleep, that could be pretty dangerous. Thankfully Katelyn had kept on playing with her dolls, but Brayden decided it was time to give himself a pedicure. He found Katelyn's box of nail polish and since mommy is always telling him that boys don't paint their nails, he must of thought it was high time he took matters into his own hands. Needless to say, he did not make a mess and did a pretty good job painting his toes white. He came into the bedroom smelling like nail polish and said, "Look daddy, look at my nails!" I jumped up and ran to where he had been painting his nails, imagining there would be nail polish all over the walls or the carpet, but thankfully, he had kept everything in its place. We were pretty lucky! Daddy couldn't resist taking a picture of it though.
I just love my little boy, what can I say!

Primary activity
Katelyn has really been enjoying primary. Whenever we are driving in the car, I have primary songs playing in the back round to help keep the kids a little more peaceful. haha. Anyway, I think just that little effort has really helped Katelyn to learn her songs for primary. Her teacher came up to me on the Sunday shortly after she first started going to primary and she said. "Katelyn sings all the songs word for word so loud and clear and she loves to raise her hand and answer the questions. She is so excited to be in primary." It made me feel so good inside to know that she is enjoying it. Because we have such a small primary, she has already given a talk and a scripture this month and last month.
Then they had their first primary activity a few weeks ago. The primary president sent me these and so I thought I would share them. The activity was centered on missionary work. They split the kids in several groups, Katelyn's happened to be the smallest group. Here they are playing BINGO...

Another activity was a relay race in which the kids had to run down, put on clothes that Elder and Sister missionaries would wear and then run back down to take them off again. It was pretty funny to see those huge clothes on little Katelyn.

Happy 4th Birthday Katelyn
February is a busy month for our family. Katelyn turned 4 this passed Saturday and we had a great time celebrating her birthday. All of her cousins and family came over for her birthday dinner. She got lots of fun presents from everyone and mom spoiled her with a princess cake. Here are some fun pictures from her special day.
She is so cute! I can't believe she is already four! We found this video of her when she was really young and this is what I think of when I think of Katelyn. Thanks to Grandma we have this precious video that she took while baby sitting so we could go on a date.
(Notice we had a little snow fall that morning...) Poor Katelyn, she always seems to have a wintery birthday even though it is sometimes warmer days before.

I was so excited, I just had to take a picture of her french braid. Her hair is finally long enough to do it so I couldn't resist.
Here she is opening her first big present for the day...

Brayden was very interested in helping her with all of her new birthday presents...
That afternoon, my brother brought over their blow up castle and the kids had a blast. Their hair was everywhere from the static electricity. It was so funny!

So Katelyn is really into the Disney Princesses and since she got all of the dress up dolls for Christmas, I thought she would love to have a Princess castle as her birthday cake. This was a pretty time consuming cake to make, but I had fun doing it!

My brother's little boy stuck his finger into the side of the cake after we sang and that gave me an idea to just let all the kids dig in. We even put the little ones on the table so they could dig in. Needless to say it was fun to watch them all demolish it. They had so much fun. It was pretty funny!
Hannah and Katelyn both have a birthday in February so they shared this one together.
