Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged anything.
We seemed to be so busy this summer and gosh it flew by!
We went swimming and swimming and swimming some more.
When we weren't swimming we were working in our garden and trying to stay cool with our slip and slide.
The summers here are so hot, if you aren't wet, you have to find other things to do inside like children's museums and the library's summer reading program. Katelyn read the most books in her age level!
Here are some pictures of our garden. My friend Lindsey took them. We shared the garden space with them and we worked together on it. We planted beans, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, squash, cucumbers, zuchini, onions, bell peppers, jalapino peppers, watermelon, cantelope, chard, and okra. It was fun to have and we did fairly well yielding some food from it.
I also put a little bit of a flower bed in by the swing set.
We have the perfect hill in our front yard for a slip and slide. The kids spent lots of time here. Nathan even loved the thrill of going down it. He is quite the little dare-devil!
Happy 1st Birthday, Hyrum!
